Patricia Porter, BA is an extern at Clearwater working under the supervision of Dr. Erika Swanson. She is a fourth-year PhD student in UC Berkeley’s Clinical Science Program and received her bachelor’s degree from Carleton College. Her research explores developmental pathways leading to self-harmful behaviors and ways to improve interventions for youth with learning differences, such as ADHD. Her treatment approach focuses on collaborating with individuals to integrate evidence-based practices in addressing their unique challenges and life circumstances. Prior to joining Clearwater as a DBT therapist, Patricia received training and supervision in cognitive-behavioral therapy, including exposure therapy and parent management training, in addition to acceptance and commitment therapy.
